Knothole serves youth of all ages and skill levels through baseball and softball-themed programs, which are supported by educational, health, and life-skills components. Programs are affordable and easy to access, engaging youth in the joy of team sports and encouraging them to develop skills and capabilities – both on and off the field.
Our mission through programs is to focus on creating Major League Citizens not Major League Players. We assist families and schools by promoting educational progress for ages 4-18 in three key areas: Reading literacy, college and career preparedness, and technology/STEM initiatives. Through Grade 5, we support reading literacy through hands-on tutoring and partnerships with schools and community programs. For middle and high school students, the focus is on college preparedness, offering workshops and counseling on academic progress, standardized testing, college visits, and financial assistance.
In addition to these core areas, we provide life skills programming in leadership, financial fundamentals, business/entrepreneurship, and civic responsibility.We also engage in community outreach and offer baseball skills instruction to instill teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Leveling the playing field through Camps and Clinics, Teams, and Events.
Our skills clinics open the door to a large number of youth – many for the first time – to experience playing ball, and showcasing what Knothole has to offer them. Clinics will feature basic skills instruction, strength and conditioning protocols, and health and wellness training.
Hundreds of players, from t-ball through high school suit up in uniform to experience the inherent benefits of team sports while joining their peers year round to advance their educational capabilities and prepare for college and career. Team formation is via the Carolinas Metro Reds, an MLB RBI affiliate powered by Knothole with the Stick Williams Dream Fields as home base.
