(WEST CHARLOTTE, NC) — The Knothole Foundation is thrilled to invite the Charlotte community to a special “Kickoff to National Night Out” on Saturday, August 1 at the Richard “Stick” Williams Dream Fields & Education Center, located at 7531 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC 28214.
This free community event begins at 6:00 p.m. and will feature an exciting exhibition baseball game between the CMPD (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department) and the CFD (Charlotte Fire Department).
The event serves as the official kickoff to National Night Out, the nationwide campaign that strengthens relationships between law enforcement, first responders, and the communities they serve.
Admission is free, and families of all ages are encouraged to attend. In addition to the baseball game, food and drinks will also be offered for free.
This event is sure to bring together Charlotte’s police officers and firefighters for a friendly competition that celebrates community partnerships while raising awareness about public safety and neighborhood engagement.
The event is part of the Knothole Foundation’s ongoing mission of using baseball and sports to build stronger communities while creating opportunities for youth through education, athletics, and positive community partnerships.
